June 8 – Bill Fischbeck Memorial Golf Outing at Apple Greens Golf Course

Past events

After a 1-year hiatus, the Bill Fischbeck Memorial Golf Outing came back in full swing for 2021. As our first in-person event in more than a year, we enjoyed a fantastic day of food, drink, golf and friendship! Thank you to the more than 100 players, sponsors and volunteers who made the event an enormous success!

Congratulations to Cambria D’Aprile, the recipient of the annual Bill Fischbeck Memorial Scholarship! Cambria will certainly honor the memory of Bill Fischbeck’s nurturing spirit; she will attend Le Moyne College as part of their Physician Assistant Studies program.

The HVOEC 2021 Spring Membership Meeting was on Thursday, April 22, at 6 pm. This meeting was conducted via Zoom.

While the weather made our 2019 Bill Fischbeck Memorial Golf Outing a lovely day, nothing compares to how much we enjoyed seeing all of you there! We thank all of those who attended, donated and purchased sponsorship packages. Your help has gone a long way!

During the golf outing dinner, as we do every year, we announced the winner of the 2019 Bill Fischbeck Memorial Scholarship: Congratulations to Adrien D’Aprile for being selected as this year’s winner!

Additionally, we’d like to thank everyone who participated in the day’s contests and raffles, especially our lucky winners!

The Hudson Valley Oil & Energy Council extends their gratitude to everyone who attended and participated in our Spring 2019 Trade Show Dinner on Wednesday, May 15.

We thank everyone who was in attendance for the evening and we extend our gratitude to the associate members who exhibited and contributed wonderful prizes for our raffle.

A special thanks to all our guest speakers for the night!

  • Emilio Petroccione, Esq., ESEA’s legislative and regulatory attorney, gave us an update on the ever-changing New York State legislation and answered questions regarding the future of our industry as it relates to the recent climate change policies in discussion.
  • Barry Knox, director of REG, and Jeff Murdy, regional sales representative, gave a broad overview of what they do concerning Bioheat® Fuel production and distribution. They also discussed the challenges being faced and answered questions about how Bioheat® Fuel can become a pathway to a low carbon future.

At this year’s Person of the Year Dinner Dance, we celebrated our very own Leann Panebianco! Thank you all for joining us and for your support, especially those who sponsored the evening’s festivities.

We’d like to thank the night’s honoree: Leann Panebianco. For years, she has inspired us all with her hard work, leadership skills and dedication. It was an honor showing her how much we appreciate her lasting impact on our industry!

Finally, we extend our gratitude to the staff at Anthony’s Pier 9 for their help with the evening’s meals and to Zolz Entertainment for providing the music.

Once again, thanks to everyone who attended and sponsored yet another memorable Person of the Year Dinner Dance.
